Alicja Maria Wysocka






Alicja Maria Wysocka studied at the University of Toronto where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance, and a Diploma in Operatic Performance.


 In the summer of 2002 she was chosen to attend the Oberlin Music Institute of Ohio in Italy, where she studied with soprano, Elly Ameling.


 As a singer, Alicja performed on numerous occasions including “The Best of Ochmann” with the Celebrity Symphony Orchestra, “A Tribute to Moniuszko” with the Hamilton Symphonia Choir as well as “Hemarowe Milosci” and “Gershwin Serenade” with Salon of Music and Poetry of Maria Nowotarska.


 At present she is studying under the tutelage of David Varjabed to further her vocal studies and master the bel canto technique.


 Roles in preparation include Mimi from Puccini’s La Boheme, Countess from Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, Violetta from Verdi’s La Traviata, and Juliette from Gounod’s Romeo et Juliette.
